Most highway rest areas have a dog walk but from the access road I could see this trail was something more.

A trail into the woods? Seems unlikely.
The asphalt stops at the picnic area but the trail continues.
Map says there is a creek beyond, but no trail going that way yet.
I have made enough turns to fear getting lost. Trail continues, but not me.
